Reaching out , whether by a personal note or an email or telephone call, can be very powerful in re-establishing a personal connection . Sometimes just the realization that someone has missed our presence is all the impetus we need to make an effort to reconnect. I had to spend several months last year doing Chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and did not have the energy to attend some of my regular activities , e.g. Church, knitting group, aquatics class, bridge group, etc. I really appreciated the effort so many people made to stay in touch with me , and encourage me to return to our group activities as soon as I was able . It made me feel valued and cared for , and reminded me of the power of friendship to make us happy. I hope your efforts are rewarded, but even if they are not, you will know you have done what you can. Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02431952068944144791noreply@blogger.com
